Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. Regiment raised in 1846 by Col. Jonathan D. Stevenson for the conquest and colonization of California, originally knownas 7th Regiment. From the description of Records, 1846-1848.
